Witherspoon has received numerous awards such as an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award as well as a Primetime Emmy Award, and two Golden Globe Awards, she has consistently ranked among the top actresses paid in the world. Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2006 and 2015, and Forbes included her in the World's 100 Most Powerful Women in the years 2019 and 2021. Forbes declared her the most successful actress in the world in 2021. Her net worth is estimated at 400 million. Witherspoon first appeared on screen in the year 1991 as an untrained teenager. In 1999, Witherspoon made her first breakthrough in the role of a part of a supporting actress in Cruel Intentions. She was also known for portraying Tracy Flick as Election's black comedy. Elle Woods, a comedy comedy (2001), and its 2003 sequel earned her more recognition. She also appeared in Sweet Home Alabama (2002), a romantic comedy. She was awarded the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as June Carter Cash in the musical biopic Walk the Line. Following a decline in her career, during which her only box office hit was Water for Elephants (2011). Witherspoon returned to the screen when she produced and starred in Wild (2014). She got an additional Academy Awards nomination for Best Actress. Since then, she has been working primarily in the field of television, producing and starring in several female-led literary adaptations under the banner of her company Hello Sunshine. They include Big Little Lies (2017-2018), The Morning Show (2019-20), and Little Fires Everywhere (2020) and all HBO drama series.
