Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been a director, actress, producer, playwright and teacher for St. Thomas University. Her father hails from Britain and her mother is the "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England." Anna's early memories of attending rehearsals for play and watching her mother's working. Anna appeared in numerous commercials in her youth. Anna moved to Toronto in Ontario in order to pursue acting. The decade following, she relocated to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at an Los Angeles actors' workshop earlier in 2007, was her partner in 2009. The couple was married in a civil ceremony that was held in December, and then they renewed their vows at the form of a Jewish wedding ceremony held in Fredericton on April 11, 2011 in the wake of Anna's conversion into Judaism.
