Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Guardian placed her on their list of the 100 most important media figures in 2009. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she became president of the media company. It included a variety of AOL properties at that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. She was born to a journalist and management consultant Konstantinos and his wife Elli Stasinopoulos. She was very close with her father. But it was her relationship with her mother who formed her. As a child, she showed leadership traits which she is still renowned for. When she was 16 she relocated into the United Kingdom to pursue her study and then enrolled at Girton College Cambridge.
