Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a writer, television personality, philanthropist as well as the founder and editor of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was Greece she moved to England when she was sixteen and then graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. She was the first student non-UK to serve as president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. She became a syndicated conservative writer following her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a few years later, she developed an online platform for voice that offered criticisms on the political landscape. Her fame helped in attracting several famous contributors. Arianna gained notoriety after she was elected as an independent candidate in the California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. Arianna was also part of the Detroit-based initiative that advocated for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. She was named The Most Popular Women in Media in 2009 by Forbes in 2009, gaining 12th position on this list. The same year, the Guardian included her in the top 100 media list. In 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her the head of the media unit, which comprised of many then-existing AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Her parents were journalist and management consultant Konstantinos along with his partner Elli Stasinopoulos. Although she was a close friend to her father, it was the relationship she shared with her mother which shaped her life. Even in her formative age she demonstrated the leadership abilities that she is still known for. At the age of 16 her family moved into the United Kingdom for her higher education. At Girton College Cambridge. When she was in college, she joined Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college where she eventually became its first foreign and female president. In 1972 she received an education in Economics. She became a writer, a critic television host, and a columnist after her graduation. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began to write her own novels with his help.
