Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a 16 year old American from Miami Florida. The mother of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, is Anya Taylor-Joy. She is an Argentinean with Scottish, English and Argentinean heritage. The mother of her is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children. Four are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. The family is originally from Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria when Taylor-Joy turned 6. Taylor-Joy says the move into London was difficult and that she didn't take the time to learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House became her school of choice after Taylor-Joy was forced to change schools. Then she attended Queen's Gate School in London and took ballet classes and took part in the drama department. After she turned 16, she dropped out of school in order to pursue a full-time career in acting. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to be an actor. Her dream was granted a chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered the opportunity to model.
